Notifications
Travomate Cargo keeps both sides of the marketplace informed as things happen: a new match, a new message, a change to a listing, or the outcome of a verification. Notifications make sure a time-sensitive event does not sit unseen.
What Triggers a Notification
| Trigger | When it fires |
|---|---|
| New match | The matching engine surfaces a compatible cargo/capacity pair |
| New message | The other party sends a message in a conversation |
| Listing status change | A listing you own or are involved in changes state (for example published, matched, or closed) |
| Verification outcome | An admin approves, rejects, or requests more information on a verification submission (see Trust & Verification) |
| Group / access change | A group is assigned to or removed from your account, for example on verification approval (see Account & Group Lifecycle) |
Channels
Notifications are delivered across up to three channels, depending on the trigger and your device:
| Channel | Description |
|---|---|
| In-app | Shown inside the platform in the notifications area |
| Sent to the address on your account, used for events that matter even when you are not signed in (matches, account and verification changes) | |
| Push | Mobile push notifications for matches, messages, and status updates on the app |
Transactional notifications (matches, messages, verification and account changes) are distinct from any marketing email, which is handled separately under Privacy & Data Protection.
Managing Your Preferences
Notification preferences live in Account Settings. From there you can control which events reach you and on which channels.
Transactional vs marketing
Some notifications are essential to a transaction (a new message or a verification outcome) and keep you informed about activity you are already part of. Marketing communications are optional and can be turned off independently, in line with GDPR and e-privacy expectations. See Privacy & Data Protection.
Don't miss a match
Matches and messages are time-sensitive. Providers plan routes weeks ahead and space fills quickly. Keeping email or push enabled for these events means you can respond before an opportunity closes.
