Travomate Cargo

Travomate Cargo is a space-sharing platform for freight. It matches shippers (businesses and individuals) with providers who already have room on a route, so a shipment joins a departure that is already happening: cheaper and faster than arranging a whole container of your own.

Just as Travomate Parcels connects senders with people who have spare luggage and vehicle space, Travomate Cargo connects shippers with spare container and freight capacity. Post what you need moved, and receive offers from providers with room to carry it. The core of the platform is the match, not rate-shopping.

The Problem

Every day, significant freight capacity goes to waste:

  • Containers travel partially empty
  • Shippers cannot fill entire containers on their own
  • Small importers and individuals pay high shipping costs for space they don't fully use
  • Exporters struggle to find affordable transport
  • The freight market remains fragmented and inefficient

At the same time, others are moving goods along the same routes. The capacity already exists, it just isn't shared.

The Solution

Travomate Cargo creates a two-sided, space-sharing marketplace:

Role What They Do
Shippers (Cargo Owners) Post goods they need to ship: origin, destination, weight, volume, dates. A shipper can be a business or an individual.
Capacity Providers Offer room on a route: spare space in a container or truck already going that way, or a full free container they have available

The platform matches both sides so cargo moves efficiently and capacity (spare or whole) is fully utilised.

Two Kinds of Provider Listing

A provider is not limited to leftover space. Both cases below run through the same flow; the listing states which:

Provider case Example
Spare space 12 CBM free in a 40ft already going Shanghai → Gdańsk
Full free container A whole 40ft available on that lane, open to one or several shippers

Who Is It For?

Shippers (Cargo Owners)

Anyone with goods to move who would rather share space than pay for a whole container:

  • SMEs and manufacturers
  • Importers and exporters
  • Traders and e-commerce businesses
  • Individuals shipping a one-off load, a relocation, or a personal consignment

If you have something to move, you are a shipper. You do not have to be a business.

Capacity Providers

  • Freight forwarders and logistics companies
  • Container and truck operators
  • Shipping agents
  • Anyone with spare space on a route, or a full free container to offer
